The resort is situated on the Costa Calida or "warm coast", which has a spectacular coastline with beautiful beaches of white sand, impressive cliffs and the largest salt-water lagoon in Europe-the crystal clear Mar Menor, where the water is calm and shallow and warmer than the rest of the mediterranean, making it especially suitable for families. 

The cities of Murcia and Cartegena are 20 minutes drive from the resort and offer great shopping, magnificent architecture and a rich cultural heritage.

If you want a day at the beach, head south for a ten minute drive to Los Alcazares which has a splendid 2 mile tree lined promenade, dotted with cafes and restuarants.
